The void is a material: the VOID manifesto
Like concrete, glass and steel, the void is a material. Five principles from fourteen years of VOID practice.

For fourteen years we have worked with the same stubbornness: finding a void in every project. We put that stubbornness into five sentences.
- Void first: We draw not the mass but what is taken out of it.
- Typology is questioned: Tower, house, museum; none has a ready-made form.
- Courage is measured: Every radical proposal comes with a cost and performance study.
- Public void: We open the best part of the building to everyone.
- A mark on the skyline: A building that does not stay in the city’s memory is incomplete.
