Crystal Tower completed: a new void on the skyline

We took six floors out of lettable area and gave them to the sky. The story of the void in Crystal Tower and what it brought.

A faceted glass office tower with sky visible through its middle floors

Our client wanted a landmark in Levent. Instead of the tallest tower, we proposed the most talked-about void.

Wind and load

The six-storey void lets wind pass through the tower, lightening the structure and recovering much of the cost of the lost area.

Sky terraces

The three terraces inside the void are shared by all tenants. In the middle of the city, 90 metres up, meetings can be held in the open air.
